Every Day Something Good Happens
Our latest exhibit featuring the fabulous art quilts of Therese May opens June 1st in our gallery space, and runs through July 31st. Therese's work has been selected for exhibitions at the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, DC and the Louvre in Paris, France. She has won numerous awards and been featured in many books and magazines. With a focus on transformational healing, her work is centered on wholeness, integration and creativity through art and the quilt-making process.
Stitch-n-Pitch - July 22, 2008
Tuesday, July 22nd, we have our first ever bus trip heading up to Giants baseball Stitch and Pitch Night. Stitch N' Pitch brings together two wonderful traditions — Baseball and the needlearts.
Come to a ball game and knit, crochet, embroider, cross-stitch and needlepoint. Sit among friends, family and colleagues and cheer on the San Francisco Giants. Beginners, intermediate and experts are all welcome.
Erin McGee from Bobbins Nest is joining efforts with us to put together a fun evening of knitting, eating and baseball.
We have a party bus leaving from commuknity at 5:30 for the game. There will be munchies and a goodie bag included. Let us do the driving and parking. The cost for tickets and a ride is $40.00.

Beadz
The showroom, workshop and gallery has most recently been redesigned to make room for the addition of Beadz, a full service bead shop. Be sure to come by sometime soon to meet Beadz owner, Jan Sweitzer and her friendly staff members, Donna and Kelly. Beadz carries an extensive selection of beads and equipment.
Jan has beads suitable for stringing on yarn to make garments look elegant, whimsical or fun as well as a large array of beads for jewelry making. She will offer classes and workshops, too.
Social Knitting
Join us every Wednesday evening 5:30-7:30pm, and Sunday 2:00-4:00pm for social knitting, crochet & handcrafting.
Come relax, enjoy a cup of tea & the camaraderie of fellow fiber enthusiasts!
All levels welcome (no fee).
Parties
commuknity offers a great place to have a birthday party, baby shower, retirement party, or other special event.
You and your guests can learn to knit or felt, or make a baby blanket for the new mom. Our workshop offers plenty of space and privacy for your event.
Party packages include use of the workshop for two hours, one hour of instruction with a teacher, and materials.
